Our Vision and Plan for the Living Library 2012

As the Wisdom Global Learning Center begins to take shape during the coming year, this section of the site will blossom into a rich shared resource hub where relevant books, videos, recordings, papers, presentations, together with websites and other learning resources, can be found and shared.

The wisdom needed to navigate though this unprecedented time in human history will come through the collective heart and mind of the community. As each of us engages in the pursuit of wisdom as a way of life and dives deeply into the great mystery, we will discover resources we want to cherish, explore and share.

This will be the place for us to do just that.

What we envision and are designing is a space where the collective learning resources of the community can be accessed and shared by all. You will be able to navigate this resource hub by portals and topics, by resource type and time frame, by author or class or group or individual, both to search and post.

Imagine having access to quality learning resources relevant to the community and our goal of becoming resilient and thriving together. This would be our community resource tree. Our collective “tree of knowledge”.

And within that whole, you will have your own personal Resource Tree with links to inspirational resources you'd like access easily, either simply for yourself or to share with others who may be following a similar learning path as yours.

Our personal Resource Tree could be seen as our own unique “tree of life”.

With a fractal-based design we will be able to view, access and contribute to resource trees at different scales and functions—resources relevant to a specific class, or group or portal… the possibilities are endless. Learning resources can be tagged to show up in a variety of places—your personal tree, your Wisdom Circle tree, the tree for the class you are taking and so on—and all resources posted would be added to our one shared Community Resource Tree. This is a way for us to share the wisdom emerging from our shared journey towards wholeness and thriving!

Once we create something together that is working and serving us we want to share it with other learning communities that would benefit from it. That holds true for all the features we will create in the Global Learning Center. Wisdom University is dedicated to doing its part to empower the emergence of resilient learning communities worldwide.
